Kathy Garver

The Wheaton Halloween Flea Market Saturday October 26, 2025 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, Wheaton, Illinois welcomes Kathy Garver.

Most fondly remembered for her starring role as “Cissy” in the long-running CBS international television hit, Family Affair, Kathy Garver has also garnered critical acclaim in movies, stage, radio, voice-over animation, speaking engagements and audio book narration.

Kathy graduated UCLA with a degree in Speech and returned to her alma mater to garner a Masters degree in Theatre Arts.

Ms. Garver has added author to her long list of accomplishments. Her first book, The Family Affair Cookbook, is a tasty trip down memory lane with anecdotes and photos. Her following book, Surviving Cissy: My Family Affair of Life in Hollywood was released and sold out in three months — a paperback version of her memoir was released in 2021. X-Child Stars: Where Are They Now was launched and has received great reviews and sales. Her next cookbook was Holiday Recipes for a Family Affair. 2022 brought A Family Affair Scrapbook to her fans Her newest book about celebrities and romance will be out this winter. Hmmm, what could that be about?

As a successful voice over talent, Kathy created the voice of Firestar in Marvel’s “Spiderman and his Amazing Friends” TV series as well as Pepper in “Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos” Dixie in “Dixies Diners,” and the list goes on. She has recorded over 75 audio books and created voices for characters in commercials, ADR and narration.

Ms Garver is an excellent host and has headlined five talk show series including Star Watch which she taped in Palm Springs on the stars of the celebrities who have a golden palm there. Kathy also has a star on that famous walkway.

Winning accolades such as Best Actress from the Family Television Awards, Kathy continues her award-winning presence. Recent awards include two more Audie Awards, one for her narration of The World’s Best Short Stories, the other for her direction of Amy Tan in The Opposite of Fate, read by the author. She was also recognized by the Young Artists Foundation with the “Former Child Star Lifetime Achievement Award” and the Emerald Award from the Southern California Motion Picture Council. This prestigious organization also bestowed on Ms. Garver the highly-esteemed Golden Halo Lifetime Achievement Award, putting her in league with such stars as Mickey Rooney and Margaret O’Brien. She recently was presented with the coveted Silver Spur award given by the Reel Cowboys organization.

Kathy looks forward to starring in a new film The Thing about Pickles to be shot in Chicago this summer, a Bollywood film and a movie with Dolly Parton to be shot next year, Good Times at the Blue Jay Saloon. You can see her latest films Old Man Jackson, Yellow Bird and the soon to be released The Empty Church and Christmas at Roanoke Ranch on Amazon Prime and other streaming platforms.

Kathy enjoys engaging with people and that is why she is such a draw at conventions, festivals and events throughout the Unites States. She has been spokesperson for Macys, Davidson Rug company and has attended countless comic cons, autograph shows, food festivals as ambassador for her own brands and for companies such as Ororweat, Ashton Drake and Clear Captions. Kathy lives in an equestrian center in Los Angles and loves to ocme to Kanab see her and reunites with her fariaendsk fans and horses!
