Adrian Zmed is one of the most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry from film to television to Broadway. Audiences best remember him for his starring roles in the popular TV series T.J. Hooker, the cult classic movies Grease 2 and Bachelor Party and Broadway’s Grease and Bloodbrothers. He recently toured with the new critically acclaimed play Middletown along with Sally Struthers, Cindy Williams, Didi Conn and Donny Most. Prior to that he toured the United Kingdom with La Cage Aux Folles starring as George receiving rave reviews. Other recent projects was a recurring role in the Netflix Lady Dynamite show as himself and is currently producing the docudrama Women Erased about MMIW, the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman crisis. He also directed and starred in a new TV Pilot called D Coffee Shop.

His role as Romano on T.J. Hooker with William Shatner has made him a household name and is still airing in dozens of countries in syndication. He also was the host of the popular Dance Fever, the format of which was the precursor to all the competition shows airing today like Dancing With the Stars. Adrian had a hit reality show on VH-1, Confessions of a Teen Idol and was a judge and acting coach on Casting Call. His numerous guest-starring roles include appearances on Murder She Wrote, The Love Boat, Hotel and was a regular on the campy daytime soap Passions. He also starred in many made-for-television movies like Love on the Run, Glitter, Victims for Victims and Storm Chasers. Adrian received an Emmy for his work on a children’s television special.

Zmed made his acclaimed film debut as Johnny, leader of the T-Birds in Grease 2 opposite Michelle Pfeiffer. He also starred in the cult classic Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks and The Final Terror co-starring Daryl Hannah and Rachel Ward. He recently did a cameo on Sharknado 4 as himself. Other film credits include Eye Witness to Murder, The Other Woman and Improper Conduct. His most recent films include a Dogma 95 feature Until Morning, Running From the Shadows, Drone Syndrome, The Making of Touché and Springbreak 83.

Adrian made his Broadway debut in the original record breaking musical Grease as Danny Zuko. He returned to Broadway to play the role of Marvin in the Tony Award winning Falsettos and went on to star in the national tour, which received critical acclaim throughout the United States. Also on Broadway he went on to star in Bloodbrothers with David and Shawn Cassidy, Petula Clark and music legend Carol King. He played Danny Zuko again in the Tommy Tune revival of Grease, with numerous co-stars that ranged from Brooke Shields to Sally Struthers. In his most recent visit to the New York stage he starred as Noah in The Ark. He has also starred as Billy Flynn in the national tours of Chicago, as George in Same Time Next Year with MacKenzie Phillips and TV Hit Parade with Joyce DeWitt and Barry Williams. Adrian created the roles of Adam and Noah in the American premier of Steven Schwartz’s Children of Eden. Some of his other theatre credits include Big, Eating Raoul, Evita, Lend Me a Tenor, Prelude to a Kiss, Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, Funny Girl, Romeo and Juliet and She Stoops to Conquer.

Adrian starred in the world premier of Surf at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Other casino shows include Zombie Burlesque at Planet Hollywood, Dance Mania and Shine at Shimmer at the Hilton, Perfect 10 at the Golden Phoenix in Reno and at the Tropicana in Atlantic City in Jukebox Live. He also headlined in the hit production show created by Princess Cruises Adrian Zmed…In Concert.

Adrian’s voice is featured on the soundtracks for Grease 2, Bachelor Party, Eating Raoul, Children of Eden, Heart of the Rose, The Ark and his own solo album titled Adrian Zmed. His extensive voice over work includes the Mattel Harry Potter commercials and a Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter video game.

Zmed is a graduate of the famed Goodman School of Drama. He teaches a master class in film technique at the Stella Adler Acting Academy and musical theater workshops in Los Angeles and New York. His production company, Outside-the-Box Productions is developing several film and TV shows. He is married to Vegas headliner Lyssa Lynne currently on tour with the Meatloaf Neverland Express and his two sons Zack and Dylan are now on a USA/International tour with their hit show The Everly Brother’s Experience.
